The US only contributed about $500 million out of a total cost of $10 billion. Just sayin...
I'm thinking the description means he's at 30m (98ft) salt water. The "river" is also the halocline transitioning between fresh and salt water. Under him is an additional 60m salt water below the halocline. In the video they don't pass into the halocline, keeping at around 30m, well within recreational dive limits, and within the limits of a single 80 cu ft aluminum tank. But I agree, the description implies the diver is at 196ft. Not do-able with that setup if you enjoy returning to the surface.Google for other Halocline videos, many are far better quality.

Either way, macmcraeart's wrong. Yeah, a slippery-slope logical fallacy exists, but AmnesiacJack's argument is solid. It's a question of where to draw the line. It's clear that a bicycle is not allowed in a footrace, so it's also clear that the line must be drawn somewhere with regard to what is and is not permitted to assist in a footrace. If cyborg-leg-blades are permitted, then where does the line lie??
Agreed to a point. It doesn't mean we should let the RIAA and MPAA write our laws, though. |

I remember an old (and probably bad? I was a kid.) movie about a fighting championship in the future, but you were only allowed a certain percentage of your body to be machine to compete. They found out one guy cheated after he had his arm almost broke in two. I think the "hero" of the movie was trying to win it without the help of any cybernetic implants.Anyone remember the name of this movie?
