How would he know that? He only watched 3 of them.
@KimballOI agree with you that this idea is not scientific, for the reasons you stated. I disagree, however, that it's a waste of time, and that the only value of metaphysical speculation is "as sci-fi".Sure, it's not a scientific idea, but that's ok because there's nothing that says the only good ideas are scientific ones, or that all unscientific ideas are a waste of time. I don't think Demmocritus was wasting his time when he proposed the atom theory of matter, even though it was completely unscientific at the time. Nor do I think Einstein was wasting his time when he proposed his special and general theories of relativity, even though they were born out of thought experiments and not tested empirically until years later. And I don't think string theory is a waste of time, even though it's never been subjected to empirical testing, and it's not even yet clear that it can be tested any time soon. There are examples throughout the history of science of people resorting to speculation and philosophy, especially during times of scientific crisis. What matters is that the ideas they come up with are *in principle* testable. I see no reason why this idea is untestable in principle, even though of course we have no way of testing it right now.

This game looks great. The fighting seems to be much faster paced, I probably wont play the multiplayer, but the campaign looks to be sweet.
You'll bite? Bite what? Nobody else was thinking that.I think you're looking to bite something alright but none of us are in line so have at it.!

Things that are different about WM in China: there, WM actually supports the local economy. There, your meat comes fresh-- because Americans don't like to see where their ***** comes from... they just want neatly packaged products in Styrofoam and cellophane.

Dude, I thought most universities don't allow you to get credit for it if you fail it twice. You should make sure they will accept it if you do pass this time. |
