The very fact that it was classified due to "national security" and had to be leaked is the most depressing part about it.Obama is a corporatist democrat. No two ways about that.
I believe you have my stapler...

“Memo too the right. The election is over. You lost. By a majority that didn't agree with you. Nothing has changed since then. The majority still doesn't agree with you. With the credit card companies getting ready to jack up rates just ahead of the shopping season, thanks to your efforts on blocking a freeze on those rates just recently by the just say no GOP congressional inaction committee. It's only going to get worse. That is all.

The one thing that blows my mind is how many goals are scored in the NHL off of tipped-in shots. How these players get right in front of the net, and somehow manage to get their sticks up to ricochet the puck traveling upwards of 100 mph from their own teammates is beyond me..

Yeah, except the sign was written in English. Unless they use dollars and the word for "fine" is "fine" in Turkey.?
That brawl (which lasted fifteen minutes) happened after last night's game against Tampa Bay—I saw it on TV and talked to a friend who was in attendance. Intrigued by what the aftermath was, I checked the Ducks message board for answers. Apparently that little girl—who the stick was intended for—is the daughter of Mike Vallely aka Mike V (a professional skateboarder and musician); who, incidentally, is also the perpetrator that grabbed the man in the blue shirt and provoked the fight. As of last season Mike V ran a blog on the Ducks website and even did some promotional stuff with the team; he also has a seasonal box at the Honda Center so it's obvious that he had some pull within the organization. His outburst was an utterly shameful move that not only makes said organization look bad, but also sheds negative light on the fans in general which is sure to incite even more mockery (hopefully overshadowing the Disney era). His blog on the Ducks website has been removed since the incident and according to The Orange County Register he probably won't be attending any more games for a while "A Ducks spokesman said that Vallely was not an official employee of the organization, but that the Ducks have terminated their relationship with him." Good riddance Mike V.http://ducks.freedomblogging.com/2009/11/20/pro-sk ...http://ducks.freedomblogging.com/2009/11/20/video- ... |

"Does the corollary also hold - Those that were critical of Bush for doing these things and are now silent over Obama doing the same - are they as evil as those that "where were you when Bush was doing it?" people?"Very much so in my view - worse in many ways in fact. I'm saddened to say that many of the anti-Bush people don't view it that way.I am am very bothered by Pres. Obama's continuing the wiretap-everything program, and don't believe that just because it was made "legal" last year (and I say "legal" because I still believe it is very much unconstitutional) that it should be continued. I also believe his refusal to declassify and release much of the documentation on the program is indefensibly wrong. The failure to stop enforcement of "don't ask, don't tell" until it could be legislated away is a massive failure by Pres. Obama. The shutdown of Gitmo is taking too long (even granting him leeway due to the obstructionism both sides in Congress are putting up), and we need to hear that the secret "interrogation" facilities elsewhere are going to be shutdown, or only used in a manner consistent with US law. Pres. Obama has failed to improve on the fiscal wastefulness of the previous administration, and while I am willing to give some wiggle-room on this as I am what most would call a Keynesian, I still think better transparency is necessary to reduce criticism of the increases we are seeing. And I can go on. There are a lot of things Pres. Obama has not changed that he campaigned for and which I believe he has had sufficient time to show movement on.There are other things that I believe he is doing right, but that I hear others criticizing him for (often unjustifiably in my opinion). The "get us out of Iraq now" people don't seem to remember that it took nearly 2 years to get out of Iraq after the first Iraq war. Based on this, I think complaining about our troop presence there when there currently is a timeline for leaving that if followed will have us out in a roughly comparable time. Similarly, I don't agree with the "get out now" nor the "more troops now" people on Afghanistan. Pres. Obama put additional troops there earlier, but has held off the latest round until he gets proposals that also include plans for leaving in the future. I believe going to Afghanistan in the first place was the right thing to do, and I think that leaving before we have an honest shot at cleaning up the mess Pres. Bush created with the faked need for war in Iraq would be even worse than what Pres. Bush caused there.
