"That's ridiculous, as are reference design requirements like SSDs instead of hard drives. Worse, trying to merge the PC and phone into some weird new intersection of devices is not what the market wants or has ever looked for. This type of specialized hardware sounds like it's going right into the 'tweener category and we know what happens to those devices."Where to start? SSD are already pretty common in netbooks (my 2 year old EEE PC has one) and the purpose of the SSD in a Google Chrome device will be to store the operating system and maybe a local cache of files so I don't see a problem with requiring SSD considering all the benefits that they bring (lower power consumption, much faster reads and writes, near instant seek time).I have no idea how he decided that Chrome OS has anything to do with phones. Also I'm not sure what a tweener is and why does he seems to think that this is aimed at them?
"wars will be fought in space and the moon, it will be your job to build and maintain these robots" lol :)

I just posted the first video i watched and thought they were all the same!In other words, You are Right!.
You can buy more with 1 yuan in China (in terms of food) than you can with 1 USD in the U.S., which is 8 times the "value" of yuan. The difference in income comes when you try to buy luxury items. But in terms of buying clothes and food, you can buy 1 kilo of ***** mushrooms for 20 yuan when it costs 18.99 USD for a single pound! GOODAMMN!!

Merry Consumermas!I for one am tired of the Black Friday/Christmas shopping *****. I do not raise my kids thinking they get a whole bunch of stuff once a year just because. For the past 10 years I have stayed at home and gone nowhere on black Friday.?
Evolution: Evidenced in every relevant field of science, repeatable in lab experiments, and the basis of all modern biology (including medicine). Also, something CrazedLeper admittedly doesn't even understand, which makes him all the more foolish for attacking it. |

To elucidate on cartermills' point, Gears lets you use webapps locally, by providing storage, threading, etc APIs.So, when you lose your internet connection, your netbook doesn't become a giant paperweight. When you reconnect, it resynchronizes.

The largest problem is that the main temperature numbers being used are only released after being manipulated, supposedly to account for variables. Now I admit, you have to account for variables, like temperature records recorded in a city with all that asphalt. The problem is they refuse to either release the original data or tell how they changed the temperatures. This is one of the main reasons why people call AGW a religion, because we are forced to take even the temperature records on faith.Considering what I have seen of humanity in my life, I have trouble believing anyone who says "Trust Me."

This just in: Giant super computer calculating solution to global warming ends up proving that global warming is real, and has sped up the process by 6,700 years. Should have used solar power. |
