“Hugh Laurie was far from an unknown when he auditioned for House. Blackadder, Jeeves and Wooster, all the various comedy shows with Stephen Fry... if you haven't watched any of those, do yourself a favor and check them out. The man's funny.

You know what else is open source and already has all these functions? Other linux distros.?
I can tell you exactly why your grandma is not online. Contrary to what your dumb ass might think, it's not because she is too old or not smart enough to learn how. It is because computers and the internet poorly accommodate basic operation by older people. Most of your input is done via mouse. Old people usually can't mouse around for extended periods of time due to joint problems, and some can't mouse at all, due to their hands shaking. Then there are font sizes. The ***** internet has narrowed itself exclusively to 11 and 12 pixel fonts, and even I am irked by this, because although I'm not an older person, I do use an incredibly dense 1920x1200 laptop screen, and everything is tiny.Hell, even entire operating systems are designed ignoring the above point. If you think you're doing your grandma a favor by getting her a Mac, consider that there is no way to change the DPI in OS X other than changing the resolution and making everything blurry. If these sort of things became accounted for, needs that are genuinely beyond the control of seniors, then they would gladly learn even quantum ***** physics if that's what it took to get online. |

So,Now that it's proven to be a myth,Where do I get my cap & trade refund check? How about my carbon offset rebate? I've been buying them for years, I want my money back.At least can we get Al Gore to stop flying around the world in his private jet? This fraud has cost the world economy billions, no trillians.Time to put them all in jail.

True.I know, it's a lot easier to say when it's not my home being destroyed, but I can't help but ask:If an area is destroyed by a natural disaster and the math says that it's likely to happen again, why keep building there? At some point, reason needs to overcome sentimentality. There is a St. Louis suburb named "Valley Park" not too far from where I live. I would never live there. Why? Because as the name suggests, it's in a valley. It's one big flood plain. Just a few years ago mother nature proved my point and flooded the area. All of the flood insurance in the world doesn't change the fact that it's a flood plain. Building more and larger levies isn't the solution.http://www.edf.org/article.cfm?contentID=6872

Apparently, the restaurants are real; the owner named his franchise after Obama as an homage, not an insult or a gimmick:http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/2009/04/03/200 ...

@hayjI have the same Philips handset. I've been looking to get a second one and I am having the same problem. I read somewhere the netgear handset is compatible with the the philips basestation. You might want to check it out, they are a lot cheaper. |
