A hurricane caused the floods. New Orleans is basically in the bottom of a bowl. Common sense would tell you it was bound to happen.
This is the slippery slope we've been screaming about for the past decade.

I saw that too and scoffed..Macbooks hardly dominate. Just like OSX hardly dominates. As ubiquitous as Apple products are becoming, they are still in the minority in their respective markets, the only exception being the Ipod..
What if these "star war scientists" discover a cheap, safe, inexhaustible source of power while researching the basic nature of the universe? Wouldn't that solve not only the lack of clean water for everyone, but many other problems as well? Of course it would. Basic research is necessary because it is the root for solving all of our problems in the material world. And it might lead to solving many of the problems that are not material. For instance, many wars occur because of a lack of food, water, or energy. Or the fear of losing them.!

The title of the actual article (not the digg title) is NEW THOUGHT LEADERS. The ones on your list aren't exactly new (though I agree that most of their ideas are still relevant). I liked the list, but I don't agree with Steve Jobs as #1. |

I agree. They really do need to refer to the BOfH when coming up with explanations in the future.Barring kind of unique things from remote control satellites, failures seem to boil down to:- Programming error- Configuration error- Windows malware (worm, virus, or Trojan and cannot recall any Trojans hitting govt. computers in the news)If there was network or node information for the router in that database table, their explanation makes sense, I guess. Basically, a configuration problem.
