To be honest, a lot of the web standards they don't support so well they either started or had a feature that did the same thing already (@font-face, XMLHttpRequest, VML, CSS 2D positioning, Ajax, etc).I'm not trying to justify how slow Microsoft is (or how proprietary they are), but it's a little messed up that they don't get some credit here. Historically it's repeatedly been, Microsoft creating it or doing it first, then Netscape, the W3C, Mozilla, Apple, Google or Opera taking it and improving it.Even down to the desktop shortcut feature that Chrome has, Safari was supposed to get and Mozilla is working on, is and has been featured in IE for a while. Yes, IE6 sucks, but man it's way better than having to deal with Netscape or IE4-5 back then.?
the pessimists will always be there. Definitely this doesn't seem to be a solution for everyone at this time, and I'm not sure where Google is going to go with it in the long run. But I encourage radical OS ideas, and Google has a considerable amount of consumer goodwill. If its on a netbook that costs a few hundred dollars, I might pick one up to use for light note-taking etc, but certainly its not a full-fledged alternative OS for me at this point.Keep the radical idea's coming Google, dont "take a step down", do what you do best. Innovate.

They blame the democrats because the republicans lost the last round of the elections. Ignore all the damage the republicans did under Bush and blame the democrats. Oh, and ignore the budget surplus that Bush had when he entered the white house and forget about the trillion dollar deficit when he left. Many republicans have no shame, they are able to say things without being the the least bit embarrassed.

My understanding was that "drug paraphanalia" refers to items provably used for illegal drug use.So a syringe isn't paraphernalia, but a syringe with heroine residue in it is.The owner of your local head shop would also tell you the same, since his business would be sort of non-existent if it were otherwise. All of the unused glass pipes and bongs they sell are perfectly legal. Should you use them to smoke marijuana they would then be designated paraphernalia.That said, this story doesn't add up. Why were these seized? What is illegal about them?
