-----"Maybe if Saddam didn't clear out all of Iraq's prisons prior to our invasion, there would be no need for us to play policeman over there in the first place." Maybe if we didn't invade Iraq Saddam wouldn't have emptied his prisons and there still wouldn't be a need for us to play policeman in Iraq.-----"Don't hate on the player, just hate the game. Especially when the players, in this case, are your countrymen and guardians."Who said they "hated the players"? In reference to the American soldiers on the ground I have nothing but respect for them. I have many friends that serve or have served in the military and I thank them for their service as well as every other service member. If I am going to hate anything resembling a player it would be the people at the top of the chain. Not the generals or admirals, but the men and women in the White House and in Congress who make the policy decisions to fight stupid wars in the first place.
I suspect that he will either beg or threaten India not to dump US dollars.

“Most people these days don't realize that the Constitution enumerate the rights of government, not the rights of the people. The Bill of Rights was tacked on because it was thought that (individual) rights were too important to be left out. Ironically, their inclusion has probably done more to harm our rights than to protect them.

Exactly. Just like the US (and now Canada.. sigh) 'never torture'. Sure they don't, they just hand prisoners over to someone in Afghanistan or Syria and let *them* do the torture and send the transcripts back.Don't trust a close-source OS for encryption if you think someday the gov't will ever be interested in your PC...
Another day, another domain.!

You're completely missing the point of this. The point of the chrome OS is for google to create their own network of devices, apps, etc. They're trying to do an iPhone without the piracy or ability to switch providers. It's like if Apple did the iPhone but instead of partnering with AT&T they built their own cell towers and networks. It would take awhile, but if they kept at it they would have yet another totally vertical system, from device to hub, and if done correctly nobody would ever be able to switch networks or what have you because it would be totally and utterly contained. This isn't like Google's Wave, which is really a different type of communication protocol (like the next step in email, where anybody can set up servers and services), it's totally the opposite.

You think the average person has enough time to figure out what the heck was going on? You hear a bang, you look. Maybe later a clever person would feign ignorance. |
