I'm not 100% sure it's EA's influence. I suspect L4D was something of an experiment that went far better than they expected (COOP versus AI). They had buckets of ideas they never implemented and realised it was enough for a whole game.I still don't like it, mainly because of the immediate obsolescence of L4D but I wouldn't point to the all-evil EA for this. After all, if the latter's decision makers have half a brain (and I'm sure they do) they'll know to leave Valve to do whatever the hell they want to do.Also, I *think* the EA/Valve tie in is limited to physical PC distribution and console distribution - ie. not steam or any involvement in development.

“interesting stuff, however a better written article (as well as less biased) is here http://www.dailytech.com/Climategate+Stunning+Dece ...theres scandals on both sides, but we need to address the science of the issue instead of claiming that this is evidence that everything is fake. talk about throwing the baby out with the bath water

I would recommend the sterile insect technique if it would work in this case but some environmentalist would come along and complain about the extinction of both species, the mosquito and malaria..

I'll take your word for it as I'm not a native speaker, but I don't think it's correct in formal written Chinese to consider those a question or an exclamation without adding the correct particles. I know I personally would not be able to distinguish sentence intonation from syllabic tones, but again, I'm not a native speaker.I think "You came(?.!)" would be a better translation.?
That faux dog chocolate still makes me a bit nervous. |

I don't have a problem with this idea as an alternative. I use GMail and occasionally Google Documents. I assumed that this project was going to be designed as an alternative to people who just want to browse the web and read email. Based on these videos it seems like they are trying to completely discard the idea of local file storage and software as a silly idea. Those videos are a freaking joke. This is like throwing out the back seat of a car and talking about how much storage you have. How is this operating system an improvement when it's really just a loss of control, privacy, and features. Sorry, but a fast boot time and less chance of viruses do not make up for it.

It would've probably been shortened when used in that way... Hey do you know when Abe Lincoln was born? No, i'll just rub it. |
