I just gave foobar a try, and its amazingly fast compared to Songbird. I think I'm going to stick with Foobar.
Well, I don't know how "good" it is. It's necessary, I suppose, in order for us to emotionally function on a daily basis, but it's still downright sad when you think about it.

So all the people playing in their parents basement can at least feel like they are in a job interview.?
So because you want something really bad, you have to FORCE other people to provide it for you? |

Science can only be done with complete transparency of data collection so it can be scrutinized by every intelligent person in your field.Science is about gathering data and formulating a hypothesis from that, not presupposing one, that biases your data collection.Science is having a dozen other scientists descend on your hypothesis like lab coated vultures, who then try and pick apart what you propose. I hope something good can come of this and we can get good, hard data that can be reproduced, etc. This is not me siding with the freepers. All they care about is their "socialist obama!!" agenda and not science.

Avatar looks like it will be bad ass... in 3d, otherwise I saw the trailer and was underwhelmed as were most people that saw it at home on their computer screens. So I'm guessing by the time it comes out there will be two camps those that thought it was pretty cool and those that want their money back. Fortunately for me we have like 4 theaters around here with 3d so it wont matter. But it does pose the question of how good a film can be if you have to roll out a new technology worth hundreds of millions of dollars to make it worth watching |
