The thing about Stewart is how he does satire. It's very easy to tell what is fake and what is not.
Because she's in the kitchen?

If you've spent the time reading on what Chrome OS is you'll see he's pretty dead on. The thing is too simple & locked down. The no native apps is going to kill this thing. Web apps might be able to cover most things but if they have an mp3 player or pmp this thing will automatically fail for them. |

It is clear from the interview that he is very nervous (i.e. he said 19 then or 17). His mind seemed to be very occupied with the interview, camera, scandal surrounding his family, what people would think...etc. I'm sure he didn't mean it and if he would get another chance (in my opinion) in a more comfortable settings and some preparation he wouldn't have said that.

Crosby, Nash, Stamkos, Iginla, Thornton, Heatley, Getzlaf, Marleau, etc.etc. etc."I feel sick to my stomach leaving the red-hot Marleau off this squad, but as Burnside said above, it's simply mind-boggling how many quality players Team Canada has to choose from and some very good players are going to be left off."http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=466473 ...

Man, I had to read that one a few times. It means that Tarou bought a book in addition to some other activity, which might have been buying something else, or might have been some other action other than buying. Because of the implication of "additionality" (just made up that word), the most likely context is that he'd bought something else. But there could be other actions, though to bother using "mo" there'd need to be some kind of implication of "additionality". Like say if it was a library where you could either borrow or buy books, you might be able to say "The children all borrowed comics. Tarou also bought a book".I think you're right about the usage not being identical across the two languages, but in this case I think what matters is getting to the same functionality by some means or other. I've had a couple too many beers to be confident about that, though. |
