Yep, FAA has blamed it on a "software configuration error". http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601103&am ...IMO, network client applications need to be way, way, way better at self diagnosing problems so that users get a comprehensible heads up about problems as soon as they occur so they know who to tip off about the problem. It is strange this took half a business day to fix on a mission critical system. I have little doubt people were working hard to solve the problem but it is not hard to picture computer programs that eat fault indications and other programs logging warning/error messages to the bit bucket, while users are not given clear indication when/why things are not working.

The freepers have a supercomputer too. You enter a given year's temperature and it outputs a "witty" comment about Al Gore. I believe it's a dell..
THEN PAY WITH YOUR BLOOD!

You missed the part about you being an idiot. Think for your self.?
Actually the iMake is just a 3d printer, which have existed for some time, I have no idea how that could be called an original idea except for being able to download designs off of a former music program and perhaps using materials other than plastic and metal.

I always get dugg down for saying this, but what the hell.Science is as brutal and competitive as business and politics combined. People devote their entire careers to a particular theory or area of study and often the choice is made before leaving college and can be very difficult to change should their field take a drastic change in direction. People can do desperate things to protect their life's work and advance their careers, scientists are no exception.

That is arguably the most annoying website I've ever visited. Completely visitor-hostile: could they cram any more ads and links onto each page? And no way to progressively view each bottle? Jesus. Forward, back, forward, back... no thanks.
