Thats because the problem IS Hollywood. Its their business model. Im not saying piracy isnt wrong or that its justified, jsut that it exists for a reason... actually several:1.) Theatre admission is overpriced as are concessions.2.) The quality of the actual product gets progressively worse every year.3.) The industry does not give timely access to demanding markets - Why should one have to wait to buy a DVD, Rent, or PPV? And i fi live in a nation not part of the original release why should I have to wait? Alot of people in developed nations have home theatres that are better than the actual theatre itself - and even if you are one of those "its the experience" people, you have to admit that most of the time other moviegoers have a tendency to detract from the actual experience.4.) It is generally more convenient to download a film or tv show and watch it than it is to access it legally.5.) If i buy the content once Im not buying it again. Period. And i will use it on whatever device i want. IF this is legal cool. If its illegal it doesnt change that fact.If they would seriously address these issues and try to come up with solutions that allow them to make some profit while catering to the consumer then they will have a win. IF they dont then they will lose. ITs pretty much that simple. And no amount of legal wrangling is going to change that. Additionally, Piracy is always going to exists in the form of unauthorized sales.
Actually it does.

Who knew the word knew starts with the letter k and questions have question marks at the end?.
"There were protests in the streets, they burned Bush in effigy, and worse....'Um...Those protests were over the Patriot Act, the Iraq "war", etc. They had nothing to do with ambassadorships.!

I guess quality control was not high on the list?
Finally, cannibalism makes a positive contribution to human civilization. |

More people need to know this. I'm sick of everyone assuming that just because it says it's from the bank or the UK lottery doesn't mean it is.

That doesn't mean anything the internet is the only application the majority of users use either way.Instead of buying an 800 dollar PC you can now check your emails and do your status update on Facebook with a 99 dollar netbook that boots up in 5 seconds and puts you straight through to the internet. If you are only using the internet(ie no Photoshop, high end PC gaming or Maya 3D) then why would you invest in a machine that costs you much more to use the internet? For the Facebook and Twitter crowd(aka 99% of PC users) this is a cheaper solution to the same problem.

Anonymousmedic is a troll who obviously knows nothing about virology. Don't listen to him.He even tried using incorrect statistics in another post above when trying to claim that H1N1 was something to worry about "Four or five thousand people died" - LOL, totally without bothering to also bring up what the numbers look like on any other given year.Just another armchair expert who uses the media's fear mongering as a source of facts instead of reality and already established findings.

Seriously. I thought my browser didn't load page correctly - missing some text or something. Half of what was written didn't make sense, either. |
