Well, I said they were right about Iraq, all I was really saying is that culturally, English speakers tend to make fun of the French.

What they don't tell you is that Rudolf Diesel invented the engine to run on peanut oil. A clean-burning engine in 1893... so it's not his fault at all that Diesels became known as dirty engines. Once the price of crude oil fell, they say goodbye to peanuts. Of course, that wouldn't work on a large scale today with as many vehicles as we have (though a couple people are doing it by filtering used grease), it's interesting that we had a clean vehicle over 100 years ago.

I used to think that way, but at $10 a roll for color film plus drugstore-level processing, your ongoing consumables expenses outrun the cost of a good digital SLR+lens pretty quickly. A little less if you shoot black and white and process your own, but running a darkroom isn't exactly free either..
You do know what a button is? No, not the one on your clothes...!

Irresponsable *****.?
What a game this company plays. You have to hand it to them they know how to spread BS and make people think they are really doing something for them. Let me know when they actually hire someone that takes their "online" courses. This is so pathetic it's truly sad. |

Don't like the government's publicly available policy? Don't buy from them. Stick to your private insurance, I know I've been dicked around enough by Blue Cross to never trust them again, but hey, you might feel different. Keep your plan, it's fine. Nobody is going to toss you in jail - don't try to fearmonger.Your decision of whom to purchase your insurance from is up to you. The only way you're going to be fined is if you don't buy insurance. If you can't afford it, you'll be subsidized. If you can, you have to purchase it. Why is that fair? Why can the government force you to buy coverage?Easy - because someday, you're going to need medical attention. Why shouldn't the government require you to pay for that coverage? Who do YOU think should pay for your medical treatment since you seem so keen on not paying for it? Right now, people like me, who pay insurance premiums, pay for the asshats who don't bother getting insurance, then show up in emergency rooms with higher medical costs. I don't begrudge those that can't afford it - I don't want anyone to die because of their financial circumstances. And I can't take anyone seriously who uses the term "USSA".

I'm sorry, but that is the dumbest thing I have heard. All the tariff does is drive up prices that everyone wanting to replace the tires on their cars. It does absolutely nothing to aid trade; just the opposite. What the tariff really amounts to is an attempt by Obama to pay back the unions for their votes. It is simply amazing what little understanding of basic economics exists on this site.
